Unwind on Friday, October 7th in downtown Montpelier during our fall Art Walk, where you’ll find fine art, fiber art, sculptures, comics, djembe lessons and more! Art Walk is from 4-8 pm. The Body Human – On and Off the Wall, featuring the paintings of John Hoag and other three-dimensional art works from selected Vermont artists.

Bags by Sarah Bacon, hand knit using wool and wool/silk blends felted to make strong, practical, and gorgeously colorful bags.

3. Skinny Pancake

Bo Muller Moore’s new spray paint/stencil prints honor some of the animals of Vermont and the “Cavemen” that painted them first.

Meditating on Movement and Stillness: Exhibit by Linda Maney, abstract art on paper and canvas.

Heather Ritchie’s acrylic paintings are ethereal dreamscapes that invite a stillness to counteract our busy world.

Emily Jane Hoffman (B.A. Fine Art) creates artistic remedies at The Dirty Gem, a creative laboratory that provides healing medicine for artistic ailments, e.g., a thirst for beauty.

8. Contemporary Dance & Fitness Studio, 18 Langdon St.
Playing with color, shape and the challenge of depicting reality, Martha Stewarts by Alexis Kyriak are inspired by crisp and clean photographs of still life.

Hope Haley Sharp-Rapaport, will be showing wonderfully vibrant and warm new paintings.

Use the new visitors’ guide and map to explore the award-winning exhibit, Freedom and Unity.

14. Vermont Supreme Court

Line/Structure/Pattern. Prints and mixed media by Colchester artist Carol E.S. MacDonald. Inspired by knitting, MacDonald explores patterns created from a single line.

15. Vermont Arts Council

A new exhibit featuring 6 Vermont sculptors will open in the Sculpture Garden. The Spotlight Gallery will exhibit paintings by Candy Barr.

An outdoor exhibition of photographs and audio narrations from the lives of at-risk youth in Vermont.

Stuart Paton of Burlington Taiko will be leading free 15-minute djembe workshops for two people at a time, on the hour and half hour.

B. Bagito’s, 28 Main St., 5:30 pm
Hardscrabble Hounds, a high energy, hard rocking, acoustic duo, specializing in blues, Americana, rock and folk music.
